Krzysztof Charusta

I am a Ph.D. student at the MR&O Lab at the Centre for Applied Autonomous Sensors Systems (AASS), Dept. of Technology, Örebro University.

Brief CV

I was born in 1983 in Oława, Poland. I went smoothly through the process of education and finally graduated in robotics at Wrocław University of Technology. Within last three years of my master studies I was a member of Student Scientific Association of Robotics “KoNaR”, where I co-constructed robots, which were at the head in national autonomous mini-sumo competitions. I defended my master thesis “Detection and parameterization of objects' motion on the basis of movie sequence” in July 2007.

Since October 2007, I've been working as a Ph.D. student at the Centre of Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (AASS) at Örebro University. My research mainly focuses on the concept of programming-by-demonstration in context of robot grasping, and on the synthesis of multi-fingered grasps in the presence of noise and uncertainty. My work is a part of the HANDLE project. A short summary of our recent developments in the project you can find in the poster.
